The Gas Aid February calendar

Initially, the Ministry of Social Development, Family and Fight Against Hunger revealed that Gas Aid is paid every two months, considering the average duration of a gas cylinder among families.

Therefore, after the December transfer, beneficiaries eagerly await February payments. The distribution of installments occurs following the final numbering of the Social Identification Number (NIS), generally on the last 10 working days of the month. Check the calendar:

How much will the government pay?

In short, the value of the Gas Aid is determined based on surveys by the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), which publishes the national average price of a 13-kilo cylinder on a monthly basis.

In 2023, for example, the price was around R$101, and the Lula government ensured that 100% of this amount was passed on to beneficiaries. For February 2024, the value will be R$102, fully covering the cost of the cylinder.

Who is entitled to Gas Aid?

Gas Aid is intended for families registered with CadÚnico, with a monthly family income of up to half a minimum wage per person, or who have a member receiving the Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC) from the INSS.

There is a preference for families with women victims of domestic violence under protective measures. Although many fit the criteria, approval is not guaranteed for everyone, and it is essential to check eligibility for the benefit monthly.

How do I sign up for the Single Registry to receive it?

Furthermore, to register with CadÚnico and become eligible for Gas Aid, visit the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) closest to your residence.

Take personal documents from everyone who lives with you: ID, CPF, birth certificate for minors, proof of residence and income. Registration takes place through an interviewer, who will record your information in the system.

Finally, after registering, keep your data updated to ensure your eligibility for the benefit. Gas Aid is aimed at low-income families registered with CadÚnico, providing relief for the family budget.

Don’t forget to receive your payment!

This program not only offers financial relief, but also reinforces the importance of social policies that meet the population’s basic needs, promoting dignity and security in times of uncertainty.
