What has changed for INSS retirees?

Starting this Tuesday, seniors aged 60, 70, 80 or over have reason to keep an eye on INSS news.

8 payments were released that promise to bring financial relief to many. Furthermore, two types of Social Security salaries can be accessed depending on your socioeconomic profile: conventional retirement and the Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC).

But pay attention! To retire, you must be over 63 years old if you are a woman and over 65 years old if you are a man. The BPC is aimed at seniors over 65, regardless of gender, and also at people with disabilities.

Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC)

BPC is one of the stars of this update, aimed at seniors aged 65 and over and people with disabilities, offering the equivalent of a minimum wage.

Therefore, from today onwards, BPC payments continue to be released, with final NIS 3 beneficiaries now able to make withdrawals.

What are the payment rules?

In summary, the BPC is aimed at seniors aged 65 or over and people with disabilities of any age, offering a minimum monthly wage.

To be eligible, the beneficiary cannot be receiving another type of Social Security benefit and must prove a per capita family income of less than 1/4 of the minimum wage.

Furthermore, this benefit is guaranteed by the Organic Social Assistance Law (LOAS), aiming to support those who need financial support for their subsistence.
