In a recent update, the National Social Security Institute (INSS) released the payment calendar for the month of February, highlighting significant changes that promise to directly impact beneficiaries.

This month, around 39.3 million people will receive their social security benefits, with the release of payments starting on the 23rd, a notable change from the usual 25th of each month.

The change aims to optimize the payment process, benefiting a total of 27,349,843 beneficiaries who receive up to the minimum wage and 12,028,324 with amounts above the national minimum wage.

Understand the new calendar

The payment schedule is divided into two ranges: up to the minimum wage and above this amount.

The first week is exclusive to those who receive up to the minimum salary, while from the second week onwards, payments are made to both groups.

The order of deposits follows the last number of the benefit, preceding the hyphen in the numerical sequence, with specific dates designated for each end.

How to check your payment

For those with doubts about the amount or date of receipt, INSS provides online resources for consultation.

Approximately two days before payments begin, the system is updated, allowing beneficiaries to access the Meu INSS portal or application to check their payment statements, filtering by the month of February 2024.
