The PIS/Pasep salary bonus is an annual benefit granted to Brazilian workers that acts as an income supplement.

PIS (Social Integration Program) is aimed at employees in the private sector and is administered by Caixa Econômica Federal, while Pasep (Public Servant Asset Formation Program) is aimed at public servants and managed by Banco do Brasil.

Each year, PIS/Pasep injects resources into the economy, directly benefiting Brazilian workers and indirectly contributing to the heating of the domestic market. Find out what to do if you haven’t received the benefit yet.

I was born in January and didn’t receive the PIS/Pasep benefit: understand what to do

Workers born in January expected to receive the PIS/Pasep salary bonus in February, after payments began on the 15th.

This benefit, which can reach a minimum wage, is intended for professionals in the private sector and public servants who meet specific criteria established by the government.

Despite expectations, some beneficiaries reported not having received the expected amount.

To be eligible for the bonus, you must be registered with PIS/Pasep or CNIS for at least five years, have your data updated on eSocial or RAIS, and have formally worked for at least 30 days in 2022.

Furthermore, you must have received, on average, up to two minimum wages per month during this period.

If you believe you are entitled to the benefit but have not received it, the dispute procedure includes accessing the Ministry of Labor and Employment website, filling out a contact form detailing the situation, and waiting for a response by email.

Furthermore, information can be obtained from regional labor superintendence units or by calling 158.
