Caixa Econômica Federal announces excellent news for workers eligible for PIS/Pasep: a special bonus of R$1059.00 available through PIX withdrawal.

This benefit, aimed at those who meet certain criteria, represents welcome extra help.

Eligibility and payment details

To be entitled to the bonus, you must have worked with a formal contract for at least 30 days in the base year of 2022, with a maximum remuneration of two minimum wages per month.

It is also important to have at least five years of registration with PIS/Pasep and the information correctly reported by the employer to RAIS or eSocial.

Payments start from February 15th, and the amounts are proportional to the length of service in the base year, with around R$11.67 per month worked.

How to withdraw

Caixa offers several ways for you to access your bonus. You can withdraw the amount at lottery outlets using your Citizen Card and password or, if you prefer, you can choose to withdraw at Caixa branches by presenting your ID.

The Social Integration Program (PIS) and the Public Servant Asset Formation Program (Pasep) are federal government programs.

Although they are different, both aim to guarantee Brazilian workers an annual bonus and participation in company profits.

To be entitled to the salary bonus, the worker must have:

Registered with PIS/Pasep for at least five years; Worked for at least 30 days in the base year, with a formal contract; Received up to two minimum wages of average salary in the base year.

The value of the salary bonus is proportional to the worker’s length of service in the base year. Payment of the bonus is made annually, generally between the months of July and December.

To receive the salary bonus, the worker must have:

Account opened at Banco do Brasil (for public servants) or Caixa Econômica Federal (for CLT workers); Meet the criteria already mentioned.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that payment is made from February onwards. Caixa follows the worker’s birthday order. Public servants and CLT holders can withdraw until the end of December.
