The Importance of social benefits for students

Social benefits aimed at education play a crucial role in training young students. They not only ease the financial burden on families, but also promote greater equality of educational opportunities.

Furthermore, the benefits help young people to focus on their studies, providing them with the resources they need for their integral development.

New scholarship for young people between 12 and 17 years old!

A new opportunity is available for Brazilian teenagers aged 12 to 17: access to a scholarship of R$2,220. This is Auxílio Esporte Escolar, which was part of the old assistance program Auxílio Brasil.

This benefit is an incentive for young people to improve their sporting talents and, at the same time, provide better living conditions for their families.

The social program is aimed at families who previously received Auxílio Brasil. Therefore, it also applies to members registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico).

Who is entitled to the scholarship for young people?

To be eligible for School Sports Aid, teenagers must stand out in official sports competitions at the School Games in Brazil.

The scholarship was awarded to those who achieved outstanding positions, such as first, second or third place in these competitions.

However, there was a change in the eligibility rules for this aid with the implementation of the new Bolsa Família in 2023. Now, only those with CPFs already registered with Auxílio Brasil and who already received the Auxílio Esporte Escolar can continue to receive the remaining payments of R $2,200.

Benefit has several purposes

The value of the benefit is not limited to just teenage athletes. Each beneficiary is entitled to receive R$1,200, distributed in 12 monthly installments of R$100.

The objective of this amount is to provide the means for young people to combine their studies with participation in sports competitions, thus promoting an environment conducive to their integral development.

Additional benefit

In addition to the amount allocated to teenagers, the beneficiary’s family also receives a single installment worth R$1,000.

The government made a commitment to transfer the remaining payments until the 12 installments of the School Sports Aid are completed, even after some benefits, such as the Junior Scientific Initiation Scholarship, have been extinguished with the implementation of the new Bolsa Família.

This initiative represents significant help for young athletes and their families, encouraging sporting and educational development. It is a valuable opportunity for teenagers who excel in sports and a way to recognize and support their efforts and talents.
