What are the rules for participating in CadÚnico?

In principle, CadÚnico is aimed at low-income families, that is, with a monthly income of up to half a minimum wage per person or a total income of up to three minimum wages. The information provided must be true and up-to-date.

In case of significant changes in the economic situation or family composition, it is necessary to update the data.

Furthermore, families must reside in Brazil and cannot be registered in another similar registry for social programs.

CadÚnico has exclusive benefits for seniors

For the elderly, CadÚnico is more than a registration, it is a way of guaranteeing rights and accessing benefits that can change their lives.

Currently, two main programs require registration with CadÚnico: Bolsa Família and Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC).

Bolsa Família serves millions of families

Firstly, Bolsa Família is known to many, but did you know that it also benefits the elderly?

Through it, elderly people registered with CadÚnico can obtain a minimum monthly payment of R$600. To do this, their per capita family income must not exceed R$218.

BPC and its assistance for the elderly

Next, the BPC is vital support for seniors over 65 years of age in situations of social and economic vulnerability.

It guarantees a monthly payment equivalent to a minimum wage. In addition to age, the benefit follows the same income criteria as Bolsa Família.

Take the first step by signing up for CadÚnico

Furthermore, to register with the Single Registry (CadÚnico), you need to look for a Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) in your city.

A family member, preferably a woman, must be the person responsible for the Family Unit (RF) and present documents for all family members (CPF, voter registration card, identity card, birth or marriage certificate).

The RF provides information about housing, work, income and education for everyone who lives in the house.

Furthermore, the data must be updated every two years or whenever there is a change in the family’s situation.

Single Registry and its other benefits

Finally, although CadÚnico is very popular due to Bolsa Família, it has a series of other benefits:

Social Electricity Tariff: discounts on the electricity bill; Minha Casa Minha Vida Program: facilitates the acquisition of your own home. Exemption from fees in public competitions: exemption from the registration fee; National Program for Access to Technical Education and Employment (plasticaxe) : scholarships in technical courses; Elderly Card: discounts on intercity and interstate transport; Social Water Tariff: discounts on water bills in some locations.

It is worth noting that they all have different and specific rules, so it is good to be aware of the needs of each program.

Some of them, with the TSEE, are automatic and do not require a request, others require the delivery of additional documents, etc. Therefore, stay informed at CRAS. Good luck!
