RBN on Wii Next Week: Repeats?

OK, I’m confused. Harmonix has put up their weekly post about upcoming DLC, including Rock Band Network tracks for all systems, and they look awfully familiar. Like, exactly the songs that were announced for November 30th and December 7th.

Did I miss something? Did these songs never actually go up? Or perhaps this is necessary due to the weird hiccup last week?

I’m looking into it and will let you know. In the meantime, any of you Wii owners already own any of these songs?

Pac-Man Fever Coming to RBN

If you’re a child of the ’80s, you no doubt remember the hit song “Pac-Man Fever” by Buckner & Garcia. (Well, you probably don’t remember that it was by Buckner & Garcia, but it was.) The song hit #9 on the Billboard Charts, and was — for a brief, shining time — near ubiquitous.

Now it’s invading the Rock Band Network, along with seven other videogame-themed tracks from the Pac-Man Fever album.

From the press release:

“We are very excited to have our album released on the Rock Band Network especially in light of Pac-Man’s 30th anniversary,” said Jerry Buckner. His partner Gary Garcia added, “We had a lot of fun recording it and hope our fans have fun playing along with all the songs.”

All eight of the songs from the album will take advantage of the new features introduced into the series by Rock Band 3, including Pro Drums, Standard and Pro Keyboard, and Vocal Harmonies. They are expected to hit to Rock Band Music Store on the Xbox 360 in early 2011, with potential future releases on the Playstation 3 and Wii consoles.
