Guitar Hero DLC for October: Rocky Horror, Disturbed, Muse, My Chemical Romance

Guitar Hero: Rocky HorrorWell, Guitar Hero took a week off for the first Tuesday of October, but the DLC lineup is getting up to speed — albeit slowly.

It’s a bit of an odd month no matter how you look at it. Three new tracks debut today, but there’s good news and bad news there. The good news is that they’re free! The bad news is that they’re free for Xbox Live Gold members only.

Disturbed The Infection The
Muse Resistance Resistance
My Chemical Romance Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na) Na

Next week is sort of another off-week; instead of a new offering, today’s tracks become available for non-Gold members…but not, apparently, for PS3 or Wii owners.

The following week, October 26, we get a three-song pack for all systems. In keeping with the season, it’s a trio of tracks from one of the most popular cult films of all time: The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Meat Loaf Hot Patootie Hot
Tim Curry Sweet Transvestite Sweet
Little Nell Time Warp Time

And then there’s this: Also on October 26, all those Soundgarden tracks that were previously available only as a full pack will become available as singles on all platforms.

The non-free tracks will go for the usual prices: $2ish per tune, with each three-song pack going for $5.49 or equivalent. Check out a playlist of all the new tracks after the break.

So wait…is there any release date for the mix pack on the PS3 and Wii? I lost it when I saw MCR’s new single on there

Not at the moment. Nice, eh?

  4. Old School says:

Wow, if the Rocky Horror pack were available for Rock Band I’d be all over it!

  5. Croq says:

I agree with @Old School, bring on TRHPS full album for Rock Band!!!

  6. Jack says:

Damn, it sucks that the free pack is only for Xbox 360 users. What a great way for Activision to alienate people who play their games on PS3 or Wii…

  7. Croq says:

Yeah, Electronic Arts/Harmonix/Rock Band has never alienated non-Xbox 360 owners. Like they certainly never would have released Rock Band 2 a month earlier to Xbox 360 owners than other consoles. Oh wait…
