I can’t imagine Activision is terribly thrilled about this: YouTube user and ScoreHero standby Bj0rnSH has posted a shaky-cam video showing the entire track list of Warriors of Rock — all 93 songs. Any interest I had in this game was destroyed when I saw “Nickelback – How You Remind Me”
You know, Nickelback bugs me more than just about any other band, but I have to say that song is obnoxiously catchy. It’s also, as I learned from the original Karaoke Revolution, obnoxiously fun to sing. Bastards.
Really liking this setlist. Wouldve loved dude looks like a lady but otherwise the best setlist I’ve seen on paper. Hopefully everything comes together and is fun to play, at least on drums and guitar. And if one song turns you off from a game, you probably had no intention of getting it in the first place.
@Joe Rybicki
It’s not catchy or fun for me. It’s just flat out Obnoxious. I CANNOT stand his voice and it’s enough to ensure that I do not buy this game brand new because I will not financially support that band. I will buy it used when Activision gets zero cash from the sale.
Same will go for Rock Band 3. If there’s a Nickelback song on disc, I will not buy it.
Yes. That band alone is enough to deter me from buying.
EDIT: ANd Sumboxcar, if your logic holds and Nickelback being on Rock Band 3 means I was never that interested in the first place, then I guess the 1325+ songs I have now mean I’m not THAT interested.
I love the series, but I REFUSE to support the inclusion of that band.
I hate Nickelback on principle, but even RB has a DLC pack from them. But at least it’s optional.
Anyway, the only thing that isn’t already in RB in one form or another that I care about is Queensryche. Good choice there!
I have a feeling this video won’t be up much longer. That or Activision will release an announcement with the rest of the setlist.
Either way, the setlist looks pretty good. There are some exceptions, but I’ll probably buy the game when it comes out since it’s got a couple of songs I really want to play.
And I’m totally digging the Nine Inch Nails track.
Dang, I was really REALLY liking the setlist until this…I mean its not bad at all but I think they could have chose better songs from the bands…
Yeah, the Nickelback track is awful, but there’s just too much good on here to pass up. I mean, 2112? Come on…
Well…..Nickelback just ruined that…sooooo no thanks Activision…..Van Halen was a screw up of a good band….now THIS?! Ha. No thanks.
RX BANDITS?! NOOOOOOOOOOO
I was completely against buying this game but now I have to whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Dig it…. Children of the grave is my favorite sabbath song
Hell yes for Neil Young. I’m a longtime fan but I consider Freedom and Ragged Glory his best records and would love to see more. Rockin’ In The Free World is a fantastic addition.
Right album, wrong song from Queensryche (Mindcrime is better album than Empire of course, but just one song would be silly from that).
I’m kind of shocked at how underwhelming the rest of the tracks are….I kind of expected Iron Man by Ozzy with Metallica and I’ll Wait by Van Halen (or anything else off 1984, which didnt have enough tracks in their own game).
This game, easily, has less hits than any music game ever released before by any company on any platform.
Not terribly excited about this setlist. Not many hits but then again most of these bands have already put out their hits via GH or RB. Glad to see some new bands (Dillinger Escape Plan and Neil Young) but this list really doesn’t grab me. RB3′s list hasn’t really got me too hyped up either (still getting RB3 though) but they still have some songs to reveal (fingers crossed for Mastodon.)
I do despise Nickelback as much as most everyone else, but I WILL power through that song to get to Nemesis. I just hope they pair the opening build-up of the song with a good set-piece or event in the game.
“Cryin” by Aerosmith is one of my favorite songs, so I’m glad it’s in the game. Although “Crazy” or “Eat the Rich” would’ve been better.
Kinda disappointed there’s no Sublime in GH this year. Hopefully the rumored RB3 Sublime DLC track pack is true.
Why, when it has been around for 8 years, have *both* GH and RB seen fit to include Get Free in their setlists at exactly the same time? Not complaining though…
Some of the songs in the list, say like REM’s Losing My Religion, while good songs don’t seem to gel with the hard rocking warrior theme.
Finally, Burnin’ For You! And some ZZ Top and all the Rush… Too bad we can’t play those songs using the RB interface, but this is a pretty good set list, other than the duplicates that were already available elsewhere.
Aerosmith?! YES! I love Cryin’! This game is definitely turning out better than I expected.
Some decent tracks in this list, but a bunch of stuff I don’t know (at least not by name). I’ll probably pick it up at some point either way though…
YES!!!!! Finally REM Losing My Religion…….wait I’ve been playing it since a year and a half…lol *ohhh snap*
i think i might get this game now.
Guys stop dissin nickelback there okay and how you remind me is a great song. So just because of one song out of 93 your not buyin really WTF is you problem people just don’t ever play the song god.
