Bang Camaro: Playing to Music Gamers is “Terrifying”

Bang CamaroRockBandAide has posted an excellent, in-depth interview with Bryn Bennett of over-the-top rock-chorus band Bang Camaro. In it, Bennett talks in depth about the effect that being in Rock Band (and Guitar Hero II, remember) has had on the band’s career. My favorite quote is when he talks about watching folks in the audience who have clearly played the band’s songs in one game or another:

[I]t’s terrifying if they are staring at your fingers when you’re playing a solo. I don’t know if I’ll ever get used to that. On the other hand, it’s cool to have a huge portion of the crowd singing along with every word in a song. I always find it funny when people are surprised that we are not all Rock Band masters. There are some people in the band who have never even played it!

Check out the whole interview for a lot more about the band, the struggles of working with a huge choir of singers, and Bang Camaro’s experience with the Rock Band Network.
