His guitarist Reb Beach seems to think so. According to a brief story at Hard Rock Hideout, Beach was on a recent episode of Eddie Trunk Live and mentioned that he was laying down tracks for “the new Guitar Hero Alice Cooper game.”
Now, with such a long and illustrious career, Alice Cooper wouldn’t be a horrible choice for a band-centric Guitar Hero. But I suspect it’s a lot more likely that either a.) Beach was kidding, or b.) he was talking about downloads, not a full game. I suspect that some less tech-savvy folks may not really grasp the difference between a game and downloadable content for a game, but perhaps that’s just me being prejudiced against professional rock guitarists.
I can’t find a stream of the Eddie Trunk show anywhere online at this point; anyone else catch this?

Alice Cooper is my ALL-TIME BIGGEST ROCK GOD, and he’s getting the Guitar Hero treatment? LAME!!!! This is terrible news, if true.
I hope they don’t release an Alice Cooper Guitar Hero, simply because Activision can’t make band-centric games. It just can’t. Look at Aerosmith, for Christ’s sake. It’s AWFUL.

Personally I think his outlandish/cartoonish stageshow would translate into gh quite well… And not so much rb… Not to mention potential “side artists” that would come to the game.., a while Cooper rb game would run run out of ligit A -sides with out the help of a few other artists tracks
Alice Cooper is one of the greatest performers of all-time and he still is a great live act and puts out really good albums. Love the guy, this is very cool.
