New Guitar Hero 5 DLC: OneRepublic

Cheer up, boys, you're popular.Today’s offering for Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero comes courtesy of Colorado pop-rock act OneRepublic. Two of the tracks — “All The Right Moves” and “Everybody Loves Me” — come from the band’s newest album, last month’s Waking Up; the other comes from their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud. You can hear both the new tracks at their MySpace page [edit: and the other after the break] if you’re interested in precisely which flavor of “pop rock” the band pumps out. (Hint: Sounds to me like it’s heavily influenced by U.K. electropop and U.S. R&B. But that may be just me.)

OneRepublic All The Right Moves OneRepublic - Waking Up (Deluxe Version) - All the Right Moves
OneRepublic Everybody Loves Me OneRepublic - Waking Up (Deluxe Version) - Everybody Loves Me
OneRepublic Mercy OneRepublic - Dreaming Out Loud - Mercy

The songs are available today, on all platforms, for the usual price: $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points or 550 Wii Points) for the track pack, or $1.99 (160 MS, 200 Wii) per track.

Oh, hey: I’m going to try something new today and embed the tracks after the break for your streaming and listening pleasure. Let me know what you think, and if you know of a better resource than playlist.com to do so, since their library seems a bit spotty.

I can immediately see one potential problem, but I can’t think of an easy solution – whilst it might be fantastic for people in the US, a lot of tracks might not be playable in all countries…

None of the tracks by OneRepublic seem to work for me here in the UK – I guess I’ll just have to continue my youtubing – it is a good idea though, and if you can find some way so it can work outside the US, it would be fantastic!

Hrm, I can’t seem to get anything at Fizy to play for me, and I’m not seeing how to embed playlists, either. Too bad, because it looks like a pretty slick service.
