Harrison was “Speculating Wildly” About Rock Band 3

Busted!Remember when Dhani Harrison (son of Beatle George Harrison) claimed that Rock Band 3 would allow players to “actually learn how to play music while playing the game“? Well, turns out hey may have been giving a not-entirely-accurate impression about his involvement in the game.

According to IGN, at a conference on the future of music games yesterday, Harmonix publicist John Drake said that Harrison was “speculating wildly” when quoted about Rock Band 3. Furthermore, Drake said Harrison isn’t even involved in development of the game.

That sounds pretty definitive. Perhaps best to look toward live teachers if you’re interested in picking up guitar. And yet…well, it is a fairly natural evolution of the game, isn’t it?

I always found it odd when Dhani Harrison, while promoting Beatles: Rock Band, would act like he personally made the game. I’m not surprised by this.
