This is an unusual week all-around for Guitar Hero DLC. First, it all hits today rather than Thursday, since Thursday is a pretty major holiday here in the States. Second, the primary lineup is all free, being composed of songs from bands with members who work at Guitar Hero developer Neversoft. Third, this main batch is only available on PS3 and 360. And fourth, there’s a whole separate batch for Wii, which I’ll detail in a later post.

But now, the lineup for this week. As I noted before, most of these bands don’t have songs for sale at the major download sites, but most of the band links go to their MySpace pages, where you can get a taste of what you’re getting yourself into.
