Last week, Pittsburgh’s KDKA ran a neat story about a particularly unusual multiplayer game of Guitar Hero 5. On one team were a bunch of Pittsburgh Steelers: Darnell Stapleton and Ben Roethlisberger on guitar, Trai Essex on drums and Willie Colon on vocals.
On the other end: A bunch of soldiers stationed in Iraq.
This was one of the latest events sponsored by Pro vs. GI Joe, a nonprofit organization formed by a military family to support American troops stationed all over the world. They set up events all over the country to give the troops opportunities to play head-to-head with American athletes on games like Madden, NBA Live, and Call of Duty.
With both teams equipped with webcams and mics, they squared off on “Play That Funky Music” (and, one would assume, more songs) while families and friends of the troops looked on. Apparently all that rocking took a bit out of the Steelers, though. They went on to lose to the Chiefs on Sunday.

i love watching GI Joe, both the cartoon series and the movie. I am hoping that they would make a sequel. `
