I’m seeing reports from multiple sources that Wal-Mart will be offering the Rock Band Special Edition bundle for PS3 and 360 for $10 less than what a normal game costs at retail. That would be the Special Edition with the guitar, drums, and mic. Oh, and the game.
That’s a pretty sweet $30 off the already ridiculously discounted $79 deal — and it’s $10 less than what most games retail for these days. (Though there appears to be some confusion as to whether Rock Band 2 is included in the package or not, which might even out the savings a bit.)
Careful, though: This is a “doorbuster” deal, which means it’s only available in stores, and only from 5:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday. And only while supplies last. And only providing you can get both into and out of the store alive.
Tell me, do you plan to go out to take advantage of these in-person deals that more and more retailers appear to be offering this year? Because, I’ll tell you, I will drive hours out of my way to avoid a Wal-Mart (or K-mart, or Target, or any mall) on Black Friday. But that might just be because I am cranky and antisocial.
Oh, and hey, I’ve just learned that Amazon is doing up a whole Black Friday thing as well. Only, apparently at Amazon, Black Friday starts on Monday, because they’ll be firing up new deals all day, every day, from Monday the 23rd through the rest of the week. If you check them out via this link, you can help support this very site. And get cool stuff cheap. It’s a win-win!
