Rock Band DLC: Raconteurs, Electric Six, Alanis

I would hire this band for a bar mitzvah. The Rock Band catalog gets another hefty update next week, with two three-song track packs and three singles. Starting things off is the critically acclaimed Raconteurs, starring Jack White, with two tracks from their most recent album, Consolers of the Lonely, and one from their debut, Broken Boy Soldiers.

The Raconteurs Many Shades of Black The Raconteurs - Consolers of the Lonely - Many Shades of Black
The Raconteurs Salute Your Solution The Raconteurs - Consolers of the Lonely - Salute Your Solution
The Raconteurs Steady, As She Goes The Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers - Steady As She Goes

Then we get a pack from Detroit crossover outfit Electric Six, whom I’ve never heard of before now — but I have to applaud any band that’s described as “garage, disco, punk, new wave, and metal.” Listening to the tracks on their MySpace page, I gotta say I’m not a huge fan of the singer, but the music is interesting as hell.

Electric Six Dance Epidemic Electric Six - Señor Smoke - Dance Epidemic
Electric Six Gay Bar Electric Six - Fire - Gay Bar
Electric Six I Don’t Like You Electric Six - I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me from Being the Master - I Don't Like You

And wrapping things up we have three singles, two of which come from the delightful Alanis Morissette.

Alanis Morissette Head Over Feet Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill - Head Over Feet
Alanis Morissette Ironic Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill - Ironic
Flobots Handlebars Flobots - Fight With Tools - Handlebars

Yay, now we all get to debate the meaning of the word ironic again!

The tracks all come online at the usual times for the usual prices.

I find the best way to experience Electric Six is through the medium of flying Viking kittens: http://www.rathergood.com/gaybar

(Which reminds me, Mclusky would make great DLC… http://www.rathergood.com/lightsabre )

Really, the best way to experience anything is through the medium of flying Viking kittens. It kind of goes without saying.

That damned Flobots song is a viral Earworm. Love it though and other tracks of theirs!
