Thanks to RockBandAide for spreading the word that Rock Band 2 has finally received a patch to enable the use of wireless mics, add in support for the Rock Band Network, and address some lingering bugs and other issues.
I haven’t had a chance yet to test out all the fixes, but I can confirm that the Xbox 360 wireless mic does indeed work now.
But I have to say my favorite addition is the ability to download songs in the background. Now, when downloading tracks from the Music Store, you can rock out while waiting for the download to complete, instead of impatiently thwacking your drum sticks against your leg, which is what I tend to do. Or worse, listen to the same 15-second sample over and over and over and over and…man, I’m glad that’s fixed.
