I was going through some stories I didn’t get a chance to post in the lead-up to launch, and found an interview from Joystiq with Harmonix’s manager of communications and special projects, John Drake, about The Beatles: Rock Band. It doesn’t include anything terribly revolutionary, but there are some nice tidbits sprinkled throughout the four-minute video. I laughed when Drake talked about about making the game accessible for new players:

[A]nyone playing on Easy is automatically on No Fail [difficulty], so if your mom joins mid-session and she wants to play bass, slap her on Easy. No need to go out and humiliate her with a “No Fail” button.
