Is it just me or does it seem like the rivalry between the Guitar Hero folks and the Rock Band folks is heating up a bit? Next week brings yet another Rock Band download that’s also featured on the Guitar Hero 5 soundtrack, in the form of Tom Petty’s “Runnin’ Down a Dream.” Or maybe it’s a case of great minds thinking alike?
In any event, Tuesday brings seven new tracks to the Rock Band canon, with pairs of tunes from Billy Idol, Fleetwood Mac, and Tom Petty, as well as one more single from Jet.
